While self-driving cars are regularly in the news, we haven't heard as much noise on the autonomous shipping front, which could have equally far-reaching ramifications. Now Norwegian company Yara has teamed up with maritime technology company Kongsberg to build the world's first all-electric and autonomous container ship, which is set to hit the high seas late in 2018

S Korean cargo ship Stellar Daisy vanishes in South Atlantic

A huge South Korean cargo ship which had 24 people on board has gone missing in the South Atlantic.

Officials in Seoul said efforts were under way to rescue two sailors found on a life raft, Yonhap news agency reports.

On Friday, a crew member sent a text saying the Stellar Daisy freighter was taking on water.

The Uruguayan navy alerted merchant ships in the area, which began a search.
